QuoteRetriever

QuoteRetriever software enables users to download up to 6000 delayed stocks quotes at a time, per portfolio list, and display the quote data on the QuoteRetriever interface. This allows users to track stocks that are part of their current portfolio and equities in their "watch lists" all from a single interface. In addition, QuoteRetriver can also be used to obtain quotes for entire exchanges.

ReturnsRetriever

ReturnsRetriever obtains historical stock market data and determines the 1-week, 1-month,3-month, 6-month, and 1-year returns for up to 6000 stocks per portfolio list. This can aid users with screening stocks for future investments and/or reviewing the returns of equities in their current portfolio. Some users may find it useful for sorting though the 1-week returns to find "hot" stocks for the week. Then, without having to go to another source, you can review the 1-year returns (3-month and 6-month returns too) to see how these stocks have performed in the past. The same application can be used to review stocks over other time intervals for initial investment ideas. In addition, the application can be applied to the analysis of the returns for various sectors (e.g. semicomductors, oil service, biotech, etc.) & portofolios and compare these returns to the returns of indexes (QQQQ, SPY, DIA, etc.) and exchanges (NASDAQ, NYSE).

ReturnsRetriever has an additional option whereby users can select two specific dates (start date and end date) and the software will determine the percent returns of stocks over the selected time period. This option is useful to obtain the year-to-date returns of stocks, month-to-date returns, and returns for stocks in your portfolio from the date of purchase (to compare quickly to other stocks over the same period) just to name a few applications. Free Downloads

These files that can be downloaded contain stock symbols, entered 1 per line. This is the same format used for the Portfolio lists in QuoteRetriever & ReturnsRetriever. Lists of stock symbols can also be found at quotes.nasdaq.com/reference/comlookup.com on the www.nasdaq.com website or at AllStocks.com.
